My casual interest in photography turned into a passion in 2008 while attending a week-long silent retreat. It was during this time that I was greatly inspired by the work of John Daido Loori. His book "The Zen of Creativity" caused me to reflect on my own relationship with nature and the world through photography. Upon returning, I joined the Milford Camera Club, Bridgeport Camera club, the Connecticut Association of Photographers and the Photographic Society of America. The members and environment were a catalyst for learning and growth as a photographer.

Since then, my photography has received many local, regional and international awards. My work continues to be shown in juried exhibitions. In October 2013 several pieces of my work were accepted into a juried competition at the Six Summit Gallery in Ivoryton Connecticut. Once piece received a second place award. Earlier in 2013 a collection of my work was shown in a four month long exhibit at the Six Summit Gallery. In June 2012 twenty pieces were shown in a month long dual exhibition at the Chase Memorial Library in Orange, Connecticut titled, "Inner and Outer landscapes".

My interest in photography spans a wide range of subjects. I look to create images that evoke emotion, question and encourage closer examination of the world.

Today, I continue to share the art of photography with others as well as being a member of camera clubs and other photographic organizations.
